Little Chatterbox

In the car on the way to Target, stopped at a light:

Haleigh: Hi!
to some construction workers in a parking lot.

Haleigh: Hi-iiiiii...
like hello, don't you hear me?

Haleigh: HI! How are you?
at this point I look at her in the rear view mirror and realize she's having a conversation with these guys, even though they're completely oblivious to her.

Haleigh: I'm good, how are you?
I clap my hand to my mouth to stifle a giggle...

Haleigh: Yes
??

now the light changes and cars start to move

Haleigh: Bye!

Haleigh: BYE! See-ya!
and she waves goodbye to them.

The only thing that would have made that more strange is if she had thrown them a kiss or something. Weird!
